Creating Planar Sections

Before you begin:
  1. Select the elements to cut (Clouds of points, meshes, volumes, or surfaces).
Volumes and surfaces are tessellated using the editable sag.
  2. Choose a type of cutting planes, and enter the related input.
  3. Right-click a reference plane or one parallel to a guide.
    1. Select Edit to position it.
    2. Alternatively, drag the plane to position it.
    3. Select Keep this point to create the point at the center of the plane.
  4. Define the number of cutting planes, either by the number, or the step between two consecutive planes, or make it infinite.
  5. Alternatively, select or clear Fixed number of planes in the context menu.
  6. Select Preview to verify the result (time-consuming).
  7. When cutting clouds of points, define an Influence area around the plane where intersection points can be found.
  8. If required, select continuous limiting curves, laying on the elements to cut.
  9. Press to start the creation of curves. Release it to create scans only.
