Digitized Shape to Surface

Digitized Shape to Surface easily and quickly rebuilds surfaces from scanned data that have been imported, cleaned up and tessellated using Digitized Shape Preparation.

Digitized Shape to Surface offers several approaches to rebuild surfaces depending on the type of shape:

  • Organic shapes, that is, free form surfaces, without features such as cylinders, fillets, or planes thanks to the automatic surface command or a curve network/surface network approach.
  • Mechanical shapes (plane, cylinder, sphere, cone) thanks to a set of tools (curvature or iso-slope analysis) allowing to segment meshes in pertinent surfaces areas (stretched surfaces and small joins) and to rebuild the primitive shapes.

Digitized Shape to Surface includes its own quality control tools as deviation analysis, geometric tolerances checker, annotations, and quality reporting.
