Transforming Elements from an Axis to Another

You can transform geometry positioned according to a given axis system into a new axis system. The geometry is duplicated and positioned according to the new axis system. One or more elements can be transformed at a time, using the standard multi-selection capabilities.


Before you begin: Create a 3D shape containing geometric elements.

About the Transformations Commands
  1. From the Transform section of the action bar, click Axis To Axis .
  2. In the Element box, select the elements to be transformed into a new axis system.


  3. In the Reference box, select the initial axis system.


  4. In the Target box, select the other axis system at which the element should be positioned.


  5. Click OK.
    The new geometry is now positioned into the new axis system.
