Nominal Size

This section describes the Nominal Size tables and how you can customize them.

This page discusses:

Overview

This resource file is a discrete list of all possible nominal sizes of a part or a tray for a single standard.

It is one of the main inputs for routing trays, querying part in the catalog during part placement, for design rules, etc.

In Data Setup, this table should be assigned to:

  • when using file-based tables, the Nominal Size item in the resource table of Raceway Design Resources with a Standard criteria.
  • when using Engineering Specification objects, the Nominal Size item in the resource table of Raceway Specification Resources with a Standard criteria.

Table Description

To customize the table, enter all possible nominal sizes of a part or a tray for a single standard.

The values in the table are strings. You can use any string you want, however you must use the same codification throughout all resource tables.

Important: You must create one table for each standard that you use.
