You can translate a route segment according to the global or the
segment axis. When you translate a segment, branch ports are correctly managed and keep the
same angle value only if the direction of the main segment is not modified.
Before you begin: Open a product containing a route.
Double-click a route.
You switch to the Electrical Raceway 3D Part Designapp and a yellow symbol appears on each node of the route.
Click the middle of the route segment.
On the
context toolbar, click Segment Manipulation .
In the Segment Manipulation panel, select the options of your choice.
Option

Snap Step
Graduation value displayed on the ruler
Offset
Distance between the route and the surface.
Orientation
Orient with Local Axis: the Robot is oriented according to the local axis.
Orient with Global Axis: the Robot is oriented according to the global axis.
Lock Direction
Lock Angle while Moving: the two extremity nodes of the
current segment are maintained along the direction of the two adjacent segment.
Unlock Angle while Moving: the direction of the adjacent
segments are modified.
Drag the arrows to translate the route segment.
A preview of the route is displayed while you drag the arrow.
You can also
click the ruler value and enter a precise value.
Tip:
To quickly access the ruler value, press the Space key, enter a
value and press Enter.
Notes:
You can also drop the Robot on a plane to choose the direction of the translation.
A segment can be translated only if the two ends can be moved.
Multi-selection of segments is available using the CTRL
key.
When translating a segment, the direction of the two adjacent segments remains the
same and the length of the translated segment is modified. In the following cases,
the length of the translated segment remains the same:
the adjacent segments are not in the same plane than the segment you want to
translate.
the straight length of the translated segment is reached.
more than one segment is translated at the same time.
