You can create a slope on a route to allow the fluid flows due to
the gravity from a high point to a low point.
Note:
Slope is not allowed between two ports or between a port and a directional point.
Before you begin: Open a product containing a route.
Double-click a route.
You switch to the Electrical Raceway 3D Part Designapp and a yellow symbol appears on each node of the route.
Click the middle of a segment.
On the context toolbar, click Slope
.
The following information are displayed in the 3D area:
A label that indicates the slope value appears on each segment of the route
An anchor is displayed on the reference node
A white dashed line represents the horizontal line
Click the node on which you want to apply a slope.
The anchor is moved to the node before the current node.
Optional: Click the anchor to switch its position.
The anchor is moved to the node after the current node.
In the Slope panel, select the options of your choice.
Option
Description
Slope Mode
Unset: deletes the slope.
Up: creates an upward slope from a reference point.
Down: creates a downward slope from a reference point.
Slope on Node
Global: creates a slope according to the default/slope value
defined on the route. The default value is the value that you entered for the first
slope.
Local: lets you create a slope on a specific segment.
Slope Value
In Angle: defines the value in angle.
In Percentage: defines the value in percentage.
In Length: defines the value in length.
Note:
According to the Slope Value option you choose,
only the corresponding value boxes are available:
Local angle and Global angle
Local percentage and Global percentage
Local length and Global length
Local angle, percentage, or length
Applies the slope value on one node
Global angle, percentage, or length
Applies the slope value on the entire route
Enter a value in the Local angle, Local percentage, or Local length box:
The slope is added on the segment by moving the end point in the Z-axis direction.
Select the other nodes on which you want to apply a slope and repeat steps 4 to 7.
