Selection Options and Process Modes

This page provides you with more information about the different selection options and process modes available, and the related contextual commands depending on the selection option and process mode you have selected.

General Information

The process modes and the selection options allow you to target the actions you want to perform. Depending on the process mode and the selection option you chose, combined to your contextual selection in the 3D area, the context toolbar is updated and only displays the commands you can use.

There are five process modes:

  • Part Mode: sets the context to Part Mode and allows you to access commands for designing the network.
  • Manipulate Mode: sets the context to Manipulate Mode and allows you to access commands for modifying the shape of the network.
  • Spool Mode: sets the context to Spool Mode and allows you to access commands for working with spools.
  • Insulation Mode: sets the context to Insulation Mode and allows you to access commands for working with insulation. This mode is available for Piping & Tubing 3D Design and HVAC 3D Design only.
