You can produce a view of your raceway designs in the Draftingapp. The steps in this section provide you with a brief outline of how to do this.
For detailed instructions, see Drafting User's Guide: Working with Generative View Style.
Before you begin:
Create 2D symbols and a text template.
Create a catalog of your 2D symbols and text template.
Setup generative view style (GVS) parameters.
Open the raceway design from which you want to generate a drawing view.
Select Add > Content.
The New Content dialog box appears.
In the list, expand Drafting.
A list showing the types of drafting components you can create appears.
Select Drawing.
A new representation is created and the Draftingapp opens.
From the View Layout section of the action bar, click Front View.
Select the Raceway tab.
The Apply a PLM filter dialog box appears. If a filter is associated with your product reference, you can select the filter from this dialog box.
In the 3D view of your raceway design, select either a plane or a planar face from the layout.
An oriented preview of the drawing view is shown in the Electrical Raceway Designapp.
Click when you are satisfied with the preview.
A view is produced in the Draftingapp.
If more than one GVS is available (these are
created by the owner role), a
dialog box appears from which you can select the style you want to use.
Click the view in the Draftingapp.
The view is created and includes any 2D symbols and text specified in the GVS parameters.
