Listing Impacted Spools

You can display the list of spools that impact the selected one.

This dialog box displays information on each spool such as status, maturity, version, etc.

  1. From the Fluid Design section of the action bar, click List Impacting Spools .
  2. Select a spool in the tree or in the work area.

The Spools Impacted dialog box appears. It lists the spools that impact the selected spool and the following columns provide information on each spool:

    • Name
    • Status
    • Maturity
    • Version
    • Path

The configuration split of the instance of spool must be done in the order of the list, from top to bottom.

The status of the existing links in the spools is defined by the color displayed in the Status column:

    • Green: Reusable spool: there are no engineering connections or contextual design links between the selected spool and other spools.
    • Pink: Spool containing route impacted by contextual design: there are no engineering connections but contextual design links between the selected spool and other spools.
    • Blue: Spool impacted by spool: there are some engineering connections or/and contextual design links between the selected spool and other spools.

These status allow you to apply the rights actions according to the final request (configuration split, multi-instantiation or isolating spool).

  3. Right-click a spool in the dialog box.

Two commands are displayed in the context menu:

    • Disconnect Dependent Spool
    • Isolate Spool for Multi Instantiation

These two commands allow you to delete some links. For more information, see Isolating Spool for Multi-Instantiation and Disconnecting Spools.
