Civil Engineering Section

The Civil Engineering section of the action bar provides commands for creating construction elements within a product structure, positioning them, attaching and editing attributes.

Product Attributes
Lets you attach attributes to products, and assign extensions to specify element attributes according to classification standards.
See Building and Civil Assemblies Users' Guide: Specifying Product Attributes.
Semantic Geometry Tagger
Provides a visual semantic tag on geometries to help you diagnose the BIM model and assign missing semantic tags on geometries.
See Building and Civil Assemblies User's Guide: Creating Content: Tagging and Publishing Semantic Geometry Elements.
Multiple Split
Splits solid, volume, surface or wire into multiple entities according to a pattern distribution.
See Splitting Geometry.
Define Component
Defines a component from a 3D part or an assembly.
Use this command to define two types of components:
  • Object type-based component: publishes axis systems (Base Axis System), recommended before assigning a product-based design model to an object type.
  • Product-based component: creates the publication and assembly features of product-based component.
See Building and Civil Assemblies User's Guide: Component-based Design: Defining Components.
User Feature
Creates a user feature.
Click to create a user feature template from selected features (for example geometry, literals, formulas, and constraints.
See Part Design User's Guide: Creating and Working with User Features.
Define Specification
Defines a specification from a feature so it can be later instantiated as a product.
See Civil Engineering 3D Design User's Guide: Component-based Design: Defining Specifications.
