Collapsing Branches in an Impact Graph

You can collapse branches in an impact graph. Note that you can multi-select the nodes and references to collapse. By collapsing or expanding the branches you can make an impact graph easier to read.

Important: Collapsed nodes are filter sensitive. If all relations covered by the collapsed node are filtered then they will not be displayed in an impact graph.
Note: A complex object is considered as cloned if another object with the same path is found in the leaf nodes of the graph. A cloned object may be always expanded.

This task shows you how to:

Collapse Branches

The impact graph could contain a large number of branches made up of nodes and relations. By collapsing the branches you can display a simplified view of the expanded branches.

  1. To collapse all relations or nodes except the selected one, right-click a selected relation or node and select Collapse Other .
  2. To collapse a selected relation/node, right-click a selected relation/node and select Collapse Selected .

Expand Collapsed Branches

By expanding the branches you can display a detailed view of the collapsed branches.

  1. To expand collapsed branches of a selected node, right-click a selected node and select Expand.
All the collapsed branches are displayed and are expanded.
  2. To expand collapsed branches of a selected node but maintain collapsed relations and nodes previously collapsed within the expanded branch, right-click a selected branch and select Display.
The collapsed branch is expanded and any previously collapsed relations and nodes within the expanded branch remain collapsed.
  3. To expand a collapsed branch and expand all relations and nodes within the expanded branch, right-click a selected collapsed branch and select Display All.
The collapsed branch is expanded and any previously collapsed relations and nodes within the expanded branch are also expanded.
