Installing .NET Framework 4.5 Runtime

Use this procedure to install Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5 runtime on your computer to enable Requirement Capture for Microsoft Excel using the .NET client.

Before you begin: Close all Microsoft Excel sessions on the computer. If needed, shut down "excel.exe" processes on your computer using the Task Manager.
  1. From your web browser, go to the following page: http://www.microsoft.com/en-US/download/details.aspx?id=25150
  2. Verify the file name, then click Download.
    A dialog box will ask you if you want to run or save this file.
  3. Click Run to download and install the file.
  4. When the installation is done, open the Control Panel, then click Add/Remove Programs.
  5. Select Microsoft Office, then click Change.
    The Maintenance Mode Options page opens.
  6. Select Add or Remove Features, then click Next.
    The Custom Setup page opens.
  7. Select Choose advanced customization of applications, then click Next.
    The Advanced Customizations page opens.
  8. In the menu tree, locate and expand the Microsoft Office Excel selection.
  9. Click .NET Programmability Support, then select Run from my computer.
  10. Click Update.
