Installing Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime

Use this procedure to install Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime (also known as VSTO 2010 Runtime). This is an add-in that is required to support the Traceable Requirements Management toolbar for Microsoft Excel.

Before you begin: Close all Microsoft Excel sessions running on your computer. If needed, shut down "excel.exe" processes on your computer using the Task Manager.
  1. From your web browser, go to the following page: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=54251
  2. Verify the file name, then click Download.
    A dialog box will ask you if you want to run or save this file.
  3. Click Run to download and install the file.
    The file is installed.
