Open the requirement specification document in Microsoft Word.
- On the Requirement Capture toolbar, click Import .
- Select the Import Selection page tab, provide the information about the specification:
- Enter the specification title.
- If the specification is a custom type other than Requirement Specification, select it from the drop-down list.
- If the specification should follow a custom policy other than Requirement Specification, select it from the drop-down list.

Select the Structure View Selection page tab.
The first object in the tree, "New Specification",
is selected by default. The tree nodes corresponding to objects for which the To Import flag is set to True are pre-selected. The name of an object that has cartridges is displayed on a colored background.

In the tree listing, right-click the New Specification name.
A menu opens for selecting or unselecting All,
Requirements, Chapters,
and Comments.

In the tree listing, specify which objects you want to import:
- Deselect the objects that you do not want to import.
- Select the objects that you want to import.

Click Create (if you have not yet imported any objects from this document) or Update (if there are already object imported from this document) to import all checked objects.
A summary report lists the successfully imported objects. - If you want to view a tagged object in Traceable Requirements Management, right-click the object, then select Launch in Enovia.
The object opens in Traceable Requirements Management. -
Click Close to exit.
After the captured selections are imported, the selections in the Microsoft
Word document are updated with imported object information. An icon displays
before each of the imported selections, representing the object type
that was imported. These icons are hyperlinked so that you can directly
launch the object that corresponds to the selection in the Microsoft Word document in Traceable Requirements Management by pressing Ctrl while clicking the icon. You cannot edit the object name next to the icon.

If you see the Save and Check-in dialog box, select one of the following options:
- Select Yes to save and check-in the document. The document
file is checked in with specification.
- Select No to save, but not check-in, the document.
The document file is not checked in with the specification.
