Editing the Status of Links to Downstream Requirements

You can edit the status of the parenthood links to covering and refining requirements in the downstream requirements report.

Required responsibilities:

  • Baseline: Leader (when the object is in the Frozen state) or Author

Before you begin: Open the requirement. See Requirement Detail Page.

Managing Sub Requirements and Downstream Requirements
  1. Select the number of links to downstream requirements in the Covered Requirements or Refining Requirements columns.
    The downstream requirements report opens in a new browser window.
  2. Double-click in the cell that contains the downstream requirement link status that you want to change.

    The link status displayed in the Status column is now editable.

  3. Select the new status of the parenthood link to the downstream requirement from the drop-down list.
    • Invalid: This downstream requirement is invalid and cannot be used.
    • Suspect: This downstream requirement needs additional work.
    • Valid: This downstream requirement adheres to all rules.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Close the browser window that contains the downstream requirements report.

The parenthood link status for the downstream requirement is updated.
