Opening a Specification

You can view the information related to a specification.

Required access roles:

  • Baseline: Reader, Author, or Leader

  1. View the list of specifications.
  2. Click the name of the specification or search for a specification.
  3. Click Categories . You can use the categories in the navigation pane to access information related to the specification.

    Category Name Page Tabs Description
    Properties Attributes Shows the attributes associated with the specification.
    Customer Extensions Shows the customer extensions associated with the specification.
    Files Shows the files checked into the specification.
    File Versions Lists previous versions of the files checked into the specification.
    History Displays history of actions associated with the specification.
    Sharing Lists who the specification is shared with and what privileges they have.
    Exchange Tracking Discussions Shows the discussions associated with the specification.
    Issues Shows the issues associated with the specification.
    Change Control Change Management Shows the page tabs for change orders, change requests, and legacy change objects associated with the specification.
    Routes Shows the routes associated with the specification.
    Configuration Criteria Manages configuration context objects associated with the specification.
    Lifecycle Shows the Lifecycle, Tasks/Signatures, and Approvals tabs of the specification.
    Revisions Shows the revisions of the specification.
    Related Objects Overview Lists the related objects associated with the specification.
    Where Used Shows where the specification is used.
    Cloning Information Shows cloning information for the specification.
    Traceability Req-Req Displays criteria and runs Requirement-Requirement Traceability reports.
    Req-Feature Displays criteria and runs Requirement-Feature Traceability reports.
    Req-Test Case Displays criteria and runs Requirement-Test Case Traceability reports.
    Req-Function Verifies the allocation of requirements to functions.
    Req-Logical Verifies the allocation of requirements to logical system components.
    Req-Physical Shows the products/components that are used to implement the requirement specification.
