About Process Composer Experiences

Process Composer experiences capture the best practices and intellectual property that are encapsulated in a well-designed simulation process or simulation activity.

You can execute a modified version of a simulation process or activity by viewing a experience, modifying some instantiation options, instantiating the experience, and executing the resulting entity. You can explore the content of a experience, and you can explore the instances of a experience. To help you understand the purpose of a experience, you can view a document that describes how you should use the experience.

Exploring a Process Composer Experience and its Instances

Instantiation options are provided by a Process Composer experience. You can modify these options before you instantiate the experience. (You can view or modify only the options to which you have been granted view or edit permission.) The following instantiation options are available:

Basic Information

The experience captures basic information, including the title and description of the simulation process or activity.

You should modify the title and description to help you distinquish between entities that were created from the same experience.

Attribute Groups

A experience can contain multiple attribute groups. A experience includes all of the attributes from all of its attribute groups.

If an image is associated with an attribute group, a thumbnail view of the image is displayed along with the attribute group's instantiation options.

Parameters

Parameters are similar to attributes; however, parameters are not organized into groups. Parameters can include variables and expressions that are evaluated during execution. You can store parameters in an XML-format file that can be accessed by an external application.

Referenced Content

The experience captures referenced content; for example, you can create a document in a simulation process that defines the properties of your materials. You can share the document across simulation activities by creating referenced content in each simulation activity that refers to the original document. Referenced content can include documents or VPM data.

Execution Options
The experience captures the execution options that were most recently defined by the activity, such as the execution server and execution directory. The execution options include the step options (whether to continue, pause, or skip a step) and the command line arguments.
