-
From the Virtual to Real Shape Morphing section of the action bar, click Create a Field of Vectors
.
-
From the list, select the type of field of vectors to create.
- From a Deviation File: The field of vectors is created from
a VPM document that contains a text file.
The expected text format is X Y Z DX DY
DZ. Search for an existing VPM document, or import one.
- From a Deviation Analysis: Converts a deviation analysis
created in Digitized Shape Preparation to a field of vectors.
- From Two Points Files: Computes a field of vectors from two
VPM documents that describe a set of points.
The expected format is
- Either a text file, each line containing the X Y Z coordinates of a point.
- Or a STL ASCII file.
- From a Simulia Result: Exports the Simulia displacement
vector plot result as a Virtual to Real Shape Morphing field of vectors.
Search for an existing MSR document, then select a specific
result in the MSR as the vectors source.
Except for the deviation analysis, a specific feature is created in the tree to represent the link to the MSR or VPM document.
-
Double-click the feature to replace the MSR or VPM document, or edit the targeted
result of the MSR.
-
Select Optimize to optimize the origin of the field of vectors,
and improve the quality of the morphing.
- Target points are not modified.
- Useful when using a deviation analysis.
Note:
Optimize uses the shape constraints to recognize the support
on which the vectors need optimization.
- In the absence of shape constraints, the source input of the deviation analysis Is
used as support of the optimization.
- If a symmetry plane is defined, the optimization modifies the source point close
to the symmetry plane, to ensure a good morphing quality.
-
Expand Select Shape Constraints to control them as
required.
For more information, see Specifying Shape Constraints.
- A field of vectors is created.
- A specific 3D view is created, where crosses represent the source points and circles the
target points.
