Setting up “Open in source” feature

This feature allows users to open the file in the SmarTeam vault. From there, the user can check out the files directly in an authoring tool such as CATIA.

Context: The requirements for the “Open in source” feature are:

  • SmarTeam Web Editor Server is installed and configured

  • Address of this Web Editor Server is configured in the connector

  • Users must set the “Open in source" button to Display when possible in the Preferences > Source tab.



  • The feature is enabled by default and can be set by the administrator in the ONEPART_INSTALLDIR\datadir\config\CustomConfig.xml > openInSource > PDM key.
