Modifying OnePart

OnePart is shipped as a packaged product based on the Exalead CloudView platform, delivering functionality out-of-the-box. Trained developers are authorized to customize OnePart in the following technical domains depending on the edition purchased.

Which edition do I need?

The OnePart product is available on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform and there is also a standalone version (EXALEAD V6). An SDK is available for each of these products. The product editions available for purchase are:

  • OnePart 3DEXPERIENCE or “OnePart 3DEXPERIENCE + SDK”
  • OnePart standalone or “OnePart standalone + SDK”

Important:
  • When customizing OnePart, keep in mind that the Offering Specific Terms (OST) must be respected. Therefore, OnePart is exclusively limited to an engineering parts discovery application. We are currently unable to guarantee that OnePart customizations will be portable “as-is” in future versions of OnePart, since the exposed APIs might evolve.
  • Whether or not the customer has the OnePart SDK license, it is not permitted for any software other than OnePart UI to call the internal private APIs of the product (namely the Search API and the Access API).
  • OnePart has its own refine system based on the Exalead CloudView refine system. This means that the OnePart Refine widgets are compatible with Exalead CloudView but Exalead CloudView Refine widgets are not compatible with OnePart. Therefore, you must not use the standard Exalead CloudView refine widgets.

    Note: For OnePart customization needs only, you can login into the Administration Console using the administrator’s login = admin, password = exalead. This login has full access to all the menu options in the console.
