About Licensing

A valid NETVIBES OnePart license is required to install OnePart. This section covers the topics:

This page discusses:

For example, NETVIBES OnePart Starter pack (X1P-P) allows for:

  • 10 licensed users - no upgrade

  • 100 000 documents - no upgrade

NETVIBES OnePart Standard pack (S1P-P) allows for:

  • 10 licensed users

  • 4 000 000 documents

To request a license, go to http://www.3ds.com/terms/software-keys/

For customers who purchased NETVIBES OnePart through their SOLIDWORKS value added reseller (VAR), please contact your VAR for licenses.

After installation, license information for the number of active and licensed users is available in the OnePart menu in Help > About OnePart.

Note: For a OnePart installation in 3DEXPERIENCE, you must use the cvlicense.dat license file delivered on the media.

User basis

Licensing for OnePart is on a per named user basis. The OnePart implementation counts logins that successfully connected to OnePart over the course of 30 days starting from the first connection.

Single-session

In addition, each user can only be logged in once so a user cannot have multiple sessions open. If the user logs in elsewhere and tries to open a second session, the first session will be disconnected automatically. OnePart does display a warning, for example:

User threshold

When you reach the 95% threshold for the number of users logged in, OnePart displays a warning message across all pages.

Note: There may be a 4 minute delay for the warning when the threshold is reached for the first time.

To allow users to access OnePart

The number of users that can connect to OnePart is limited by the license (see license feature search.users.decide). When there are no more user tokens available, new users will be rejected until another user token expires. Follow the procedure below to declare the users allowed to access OnePart to avoid wasting tokens for users that are not supposed to be using it.

  1. Edit the security source filter:
    1. When cas security is configured: Open the Administration Console in your browser at http://HOST:BASEPORT+1/admin/#access-security-source?name=cas_filter
    2. Otherwise: Open the Administration Console in your browser at http://HOST:BASEPORT+1/admin/#access-security-source?name=app_login_filter
  2. Click Cancel if the button is activated.
  3. In Configuration > Config, expand the Group section, and find the Item with Name "opuser"
  4. Edit the list of filters, remove, edit existing ones or add a new one, to meet your needs.
  5. Click Apply.

To monitor license tokens used

A cvconsole command is available to list the user tokens used.

  • to display the count of used tokens by type, run software\datadir\bin\cvconsole.exe cvapps licensing user-counts
  • to display the number of user tokens allowed by your license, run software\datadir\bin\cvconsole.exe cvapps licensing limits
  • to list the used tokens, run software\datadir\bin\cvconsole.exe cvapps licensing list-users
