Hole detection
OnePart
can detect circular hole and slits, along with their characteristics, directly
from the geometry of the parts. We call them "OnePart features", as opposed to "Design features", obtained from the CAD
files mechanical features, these may differ significantly for various reasons
(hole repetition, holes created without a Mechanical Feature...)
FACETS
Facets in
OnePart Feature types and
OnePart Feature Count are available to help you
find parts faster. You can apply the
Circular Holes filter to access the specific
types.
The complete hole details for the part display in Computed
properties, and in the filters panel of the results lists. For
example, in the CATIA part below, we see that the designer made 3 holes and 1
pocket in this part. However,
OnePart
was able to detect 4 holes plus the type and description.

A slot is a carved shape that has two parallel edges, and
finishes with either round or rectangular shape.
