Creating Intersection Curves

You can create wireframe geometry by intersecting elements. You can intersect sketch entities, solid bodies, and surfaces.

  1. From the Surfaces section of the action bar, click Intersection Curve .

    Tip: In the top menu of the dialog box, you can switch between Projection Curve , Through Point Curve , and Intersection Curve features.

  2. In the work area, select one or more items to be intersected.
    In the Intersection Curve dialog box, the selected items are listed in the Items to be intersected field.
  3. In the work area, select one or more items to intersect.
    The selected items are listed in the Items to intersect field.
  4. Optional: Select Extrapolate intersections check box to extrapolate the intersection boundaries.
  5. Required: In the Intersection result section, select one of the following.

    Contour Displays the contour of the resulting curve.
    Surface Displays the surface of the resulting curve.

  6. Click .
