Update Content Library

To use the Materials Palette, you must populate your library collaborative space with updated material data. Any user who is logged in with the Leader role can perform the update. After the material data is updated, you can use it in any of your products. Update the content library after each major software update. All users have access to the updated content.


Before you begin: You must be logged in with the Leader role to install content in your library collaborative space.
  1. From the Tool section of the action bar, click Update Content Library .
    The Update Content Library dialog box appears.
    Note: A message is displayed when you do not have access rights or an update is not required. A Leader or Owner role is required to update the content library in the Library collaborative space.

    Contact your Administrator for more information.

  2. In the dialog box, click one of the following options.
    • Update Materials - Updates the materials library in your app with the materials provided by your Administrator.
    • Update Electrical Cutouts - Updates the library of electrical cutouts in your app with the cutouts provided by your Administrator.
    The installation process typically takes several minutes. When the dialog box closes, the update is complete.
