Adding, Editing, and Deleting Equations

You can add, edit, or delete the equations in dimensions.

Add an Equation

You can add an equation to the dimension.

  1. In the work area, you can click the dimension text.
    The dimension text is now editable.
  2. Type in the input field, to open the Equation dialog box and start entering the formula.
  3. Select the parent feature from the Design Manager tree, to add a feature or parameter to the formula.
  4. In the Equation dialog box, select the parameter from the list. you can select any other feature in the Design Manager tree to add or replace a parameter in the formula.
  5. You can perform the basic operations such as bracket, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division on the parameter value.
  6. Click .

Edit or Delete an Equation

You can delete the created equation.

  1. Click in the equation driven dimension or input field to open the Equation dialog box.
  2. Edit the formula to edit the equation, or clear the formula to delete the equation.
  3. Click .
