Creating Analysis Cases

You can create analysis steps to define kinematic or dynamic actions during the mechanism simulation.

This task shows you how to:

Before you begin:
  • Open or create a mechanism representation to simulate.
  • Create at least one kinematic or dynamic analysis step.

Create Analysis Cases

  1. Click the Selected product field and, in the work area, select a product including the mechanism to simulate.
  2. From the Select a mechanism list, select a mechanism to simulate.

You can only select a mechanism compatible with the current app level.

  3. Optional: To create a mechanism compatible with the current app, click Create Mechanism.
    The Mechanism dialog box opens.
  4. Click .

The analysis case appears under the Scenario node of the active Motion Simulation element. The analysis case and the associated mechanism are defined as current.

Edit Analysis Cases

  1. In the tree, do one of the following:
    • Double-click an analysis case.
    • Click an analysis case in the tree, and select Edit Analysis Case .
  2. Edit the analysis case parameters.
  3. Click .
