Creating Composite State

You can create a composite state.


Before you begin: Create a state machine diagram.
  1. From the State Machine Diagram section of the action bar, click Composite State Creation .
  2. Click the state machine diagram view to place the composite state. By default, the composite state is created with two areas.
    You can now place states and transitions in each area.
  3. Optional: To add areas, right-click the composite state, select Insert New Composite State Region and then, select one of the following options:
    • Add Embedded Empty State: Creates an empty area.
    • Add Embedded State Machine State: Retrieves a state diagram to create a submachine state.
