Creating History States

You can create history states to remember the previous state of a state machine when it was interrupted. You can choose between two types of history state: shallow history state or deep history state.


Before you begin:
  • Create a state machine diagram.
  • Create submachine state.
  • Within the submachine, create states.
  1. From the State Machine Diagram section of the action bar, select one of the following commands:
    • History State Creation : To create a shallow history state.
    • Deep History State Creation : To create a deep history state.
  2. Click the state machine diagram to place the history state element.
