Creating Initial and Final States

You can create initial and final states and insert them in a state machine diagram. Only one initial state can be placed in a state machine diagram.

Before you begin: Create a state machine diagram and activate it.
  1. From the State Machine Diagram section of the action bar, click one of the following commands:
    • Initial State Creation
    • Final State Creation
  2. Click the state machine diagram view to place the state.
    The state is placed in the state machine diagram.
    Note: To modify the size of the state, click it and use the handles.
