When a model contains a 3D shape representation, you can manage
the layout views to display 2D and/or 3D representations, either from
Functional & Logical Design,
Systems Architecture Design, or from the
Dymola Behavior Modelingapp.
This task shows you how to manage 2D and 3D views in
Systems Architecture
Design, but the scenario is identical in a
Dymola Behavior Modeling
context.
The following apply for the viewpoint selection and zoom level (2D or 3D
view, or both):
The viewpoint selection and zoom level is restored after a simulation
(the selection and zoom level when you enter the simulation is remembered).
When you start a new simulation, the viewpoint selection and zoom
level is the one you used in the previous simulation (the selection and zoom
level are remembered between the simulations).
Before you begin:
Create a
logical component with a
Dymola behavior.
Create a 3D representation for
logical
component.
Open a logical component containing 3D
geometry.
By default, both
Geometry
and
2D Geometry
are active, and the 2D and 3D views are displayed.
From the
View section of the
action bar,
deactivate
2D Geometry
to display only 3D shape.
Reactivate
2D Geometry
then deactivate
Geometry
to display only 2D representation.
Reactivate
Geometry
to display both 2D and 3D, then use
Change Active View
to select either 2D or 3D representations.
