Updating Multiplexer or Demultiplexer

When the structure of the flows or types handled by a multiplexer (MUX) or a demultiplexer (DEMUX) has been modified, you can update the MUX/DEMUX. More precisely, you can update the MUX/DEMUX when:

  • Types or flows have been added
  • Types or flows have been removed.

Before you begin:
  • Create a multiplexer on structured logical types (Multiplexer1).
  • Delete one type.

    The MUX/DEMUX is not up-to-date.
The MUX/DEMUX ports should not be there (for example, the port type or flow used by the MUX/DEMUX has less subtypes or flows than before.

Ports are colored in red These ports should be removed from the MUX/DEMUX.
  2. Right-click Multiplexer1 and select Update MUX/DEMUX from the context menu.
    The multiplexer is updated.
    Important:
    • If the MUX/DEMUX misses ports: ports are added.
    • If a port is no longer required: this port is removed.
