DesignSync Stores Page

The DesignSync Stores page lists all stores defined in the Defect Management and Collaboration system. You can also view the list of stores for a specific DesignSync server. A store is a storage location for checked in files. A store in Defect Management and Collaboration represents a portion of the DesignSync server.

The 3DEXPERIENCE platform supports several types of stores: only DesignSync stores show on this page. For complete details about stores, see the MQL Guide.

To access this list of all DesignSync stores:

  1. Click .
  2. In the navigation pane, click Stores.

To access the list of stores for a specific DesignSync server:

  1. Open the server. See Opening a DesignSync Server.
  2. In the navigation pane, click Stores.

Columns

Column NameDescription
NameThe name of the store. Click to view its properties page.
URLThe URL used to connect to the DesignSync server. Click to connect to the DesignSync server.
PathThe path on the DesignSync server to this store. A DesignSync server can have multiple stores defined.
DescriptionA brief description of the purpose of this store.

View Contents Lets you browse module, file, and folder hierarchies in a DesignSync Server. The navigation page also shows any HREFs for modules (references to modules that can be on the same or a different DesignSync Server). Navigate DesignSync Object / Browse DSFA Page
Add Existing Only shows on the Stores page for a specific DesignSync server.

Adds an existing store to this server. Only stores with the same URL as the DesignSync server can be selected.

Delete Deletes the selected store; click OK to confirm.-
Remove Only shows on the Stores page for a specific DesignSync server.

Disconnects this store from the DesignSync server. Click OK to confirm. The store is not deleted; it is still available to be added to DesignSync servers.

Enable Edit Enables edit mode that allows you to edit these columns:
  • Path
  • Description

You can use the Mass Update tool to change a column for multiple DesignSync Servers (all with the same value). Click Save after making any changes.

To edit additional attributes for a store, use the tool on that store's row. See Editing a DesignSync Store.

Disable Edit Only shows if you enabled edit mode. Closes edit mode. You must click Save first or you will lose any changes.-
