Understanding Jobs

When you run a simulation process or a simulation activity, Process Composer creates a job and runs the job. Jobs refer to predefined application connectors for software applications available on 3DOrchestrate Stations.

Jobs are divided into the following steps:

  1. Run the download rules.
  2. Run the specified application on a 3DOrchestrate Station.
  3. Run the delete rules.
  4. Run the upload rules.
  5. Clean up the working directory.

You can abort a job during any of its steps; see Pausing, Continuing, Synchronizing, and Aborting Jobs for more information.

Note: The time stamps in the job execution log are based on the time setting of the Process Composer (3DEXPERIENCE platform) server that you are logged into. The time stamps are not based on the time setting of the 3DOrchestrate Station.
