Creating a Sketched Opening

This topic describes how to create an opening by sketching the contour.

  1. In the Applied on box, select a panel or a plate on which you want to create the opening.
  2. Click Create Sketch Opening .
  3. In the Sketch Opening dialog box, define the sketch opening:
    1. In the Category list, select the opening type.
    2. Click to sketch the opening contour.
      Note: The name of the profile appears in the Profile box automatically once the opening contour is sketched.
    3. Select the required forming mode.
    4. From the Extrusion list, select the extrusion type: UpToLast or Limit1/Limit2.

      The extrusion must intersect the support of the plate/split plate.

    5. Click Apply.
      The inputs are applied.
    6. Click OK.
    The opening is created.
