Using Synchronization Manager

Set the Preferences and Select Inputs

This topic shows you how to set preferences and select inputs for synchronization.

  1. Click Show Preferences at the upper right of the panel and specify the following options:

    • Synchronize no-limit stiffener: Select this check box to take into account the functional stiffeners created without limits.
    • Enable information message: Select this check box to enable information messages within the Synchronization Manager panel. Set the interval time the message will be visible for.
    • Show only different specification: Select this check box to display in the Detail Specification panel only the attributes that have different values in functional and physical objects.

  2. Under Inputs, select the input type as Design Unit or Structure System, and accordingly select the input object from the tree.

If you select the input type as Structure System, you can specify a physical product as a destination for aggregating the physical products created for structure systems.

The corresponding functional objects are listed under Elements in a tree structure.

The Physical Object and To Do columns are updated as follows:

    Physical Object To Do Description
    - Compute The functional object is new and no physical object exists for it.
Physical_Object_Name Compute A physical object exists for the functional object.
Physical_Object_Name Delete The functional object was deleted after synchronization.

You may delete the corresponding physical object, if required.
