Defining the Report Format

You can define report templates to retrieve the values of object properties in a HTML or XML format document.


Before you begin: You should be familiar with the Know-how Reuse app.

Generating a Report
  1. From the Compass, click Quality Rules Reuse.
  2. From the Quality Rules Reuse section of the action bar, click Report Definition .
    The Report Template Definition dialog box appears.
  3. Enter a name in the Report name box to create a report template.

    If you have an existing report, click and choose the report format from the XML Document Chooser dialog box.

  4. Enter a title in the Report title box.

    Notes:
    • The Report name is the name under which you save the report.
    • The Report title is the name of your report in HTML or XML format.

  5. Select the type of the object from the Type list.
  6. Select an attribute from the Attributes list.
  7. Click Add.
    The attribute is displayed in the Attribute Management frame.
  8. After adding all necessary attributes, click Save.
    A Document dialog box appears.
  9. Click Finish.
  10. Click Close to close the Report Template Definition dialog box.
