Replacing a Part by a Fluidic Part Inside a Specification

You can replace a part with another one belonging to a specification if you are working in an RFLP context with a Fluidic Specification resource set for the current collaborative space.

Before you begin: Open a product with an Engineering Specification Data Setup.
  1. From the Product Edition section of the action bar, click Replace selected object > Replace by Piping Part inside a specification .
  2. In the tree, select the part to be replaced.
The Part selection dialog box appears. Two lists are available, one to choose the specification in which you want to find the new part and another one to choose the part type. The specification list is filled by default with the specification of the physical product but you can choose another specification in the list.
Note: If the physical product has no specification, then the default specification is selected.
  3. Select a part type in the list.

The table browser appears and lists parts filtered with the attributes of the current selected part. You can reset these filters and choose other values.

For more information, see Piping & Tubing 3D Design:Table Browser or HVAC 3D Design:Table Browser.

Note: If there is no part available, a message is displayed in the dialog box.
  4. Click one of the line to choose the part you want to use.
    The selected part is replaced.
Note: If you are in an RFLP context, the specification value is updated with the one you have selected.
