Creating a Spot Elevation Annotation

Spot Elevation Annotation lets you create an annotation that computes the spot elevation value of the top or bottom of a part from the reference plane.


Before you begin: Open a drawing containing a generated view.
  1. In the Spot Elevation Annotation Definition dialog box, click Catalog Browser and select a template.
  2. In the view, select an element.
  3. Under Position, select Place on view side or Place on object side.
  4. Under Computation, select the Elevation for selected geometry check box.
  5. From the Mode list, select Top of object or Bottom of object.
