Creating a Multi-Object Annotation

You can create an annotation where a text references multiple objects in the view through a specific leader.


Before you begin: Open a drawing containing a generated view.
  1. From the Smart Annotation section of the action bar, click Multi-Object Annotation .
  2. In the Multi-Object Annotation dialog box, click Catalog Browser and select a template.

    Tip: In the Catalog Browser , you can double-click a template to select it.
    The template chapter is saved as preference for next time usage.

  3. In the view, select a target annotation.

    The target annotation can be a simple text, a text template instance, or a parametric annotation.

  4. Select the Remove Covered Annotation check box to remove all the annotations that are covered by the multi-object line.
  5. Select the start point and the end point.
    All the elements considered by the annotation are listed under Objects.
  6. From the Leader list, select Yes to keep the leader, or select No to remove the leader.
  7. Optional: Under Display Properties, select an orientation.
  8. Optional: Under Parameters, click Show to modify the unlocked parameters.
