Creating a Table

You can create a table annotation that has its content, layout, and behavior based on table templates.


Before you begin: Open a drawing containing a generated view.

  1. From the Smart Annotation section of the action bar, click Table .
  2. In the Table Definition (New) dialog box, click Catalog Browser and select a template.

    Tip: In the Catalog Browser , you can double-click a template to select it.
    The template chapter is saved as preference for next time usage.

  3. Optional: Click and select a view or the sheet to change the data source.
  4. Optional: Select the Automatic Update (with Data Source Update) check box to update the table.

    If data source is a generative view, the table is updated after the view update. If the data source is the whole sheet, the table is updated after all the views of the sheet are updated.

  5. Click at the required location in the sheet to place the annotation.

    A message appears to confirm whether to generate the content or not.

Notes:
  • Select the annotation and then click the Table command to edit it.
  • You can change the template and data source.
