Creating a Pipe Spool Assembly Batch

You can create a batch for an assembly of piping spool.

Before you begin: Load a product representation containing the spools.

The loaded product may be PLM filtered or manually explored. The batch loads the same product representation.

  1. From the Multi-Discipline Drafting Batches section of the action bar, click Piping Assembly Isometrics .
The Launch Piping Assembly Extraction from Current Session dialog box appears.
  2. Perform any of the following methods to select the assemblies:
    • In the Launch Piping Assembly Extraction from Current Session dialog box, Ctrl + select the assemblies.
    • In the 3D window, select assemblies to add or remove them from the selection in the panel.
    • In the tree, select assemblies to add or remove them from the selection in the panel.
    • In the case of DELMIA manufacturing BOM, select the required manufacturing products from the tree.
  3. From the Select Drawing Profile list, select a drawing profile.

The drawing profile controls all the parameters or settings of the generated drawing. This is managed by the administrator.

  4. To configure the batch parameters:
    1. In the command box, located at the lower-right corner of the window, enter c:MySessionInfo.
    2. Note down the protocol (http or https), URL/IP address, port, and application name (URI).
    3. In the Launch Piping Assembly Extraction from Current Session dialog box, click Edit.
    4. In the Batch Configuration panel, under Server Configuration, enter the above noted information.

Important: After starting a new 3DEXPERIENCE platform session, when you run the batch command for the first time, you must configure the batch server parameters (one-time) to access the database.
