About Co-Simulation Groups

A co-simulation group lets you concurrently run your co-simulation enabled adapters.

A co-simulation process is a group of activities or adapters at the same level of the simulation process hierarchy that will run at the same time. You can use co-simulation groups for activities or adapters that coordinate their simulation activities, often for the purposes of concurrent simulation of multiple physical domains (that is, multiphysics simulations) or simulations of systems. Activities or adapters in a co-simulation group must be configured to be aware of the co-simulation environment and to communicate with other activities or adapters in the group. Co-simulation groups are not useful for adapters that do not communicate with each other as they run. You define a co-simulation group in the adapter's affinities by creating a unique name for each co-simulation group.
