-
From the Flow section of the action bar, click Monte Carlo
and
drop it on the process diagram.
- Double-click Monte Carlo.
-
From the Monte Carlo Editor that appears,
select the Responses tab.
-
Select the output (or input/output) parameters
to use as responses.
-
Enter the Lower Limit of the response.
Optimization
Process Composer calculates the probability of response values greater than the lower limit after all simulations are complete. - Enter the Upper Limit of the response.
If you specify both lower and upper limits, Optimization
Process Composer reports the total probability between the limits. You can use this response probability to characterize the reliability of the response with respect to remaining between the limits. You can determine the total probability of failure with respect to the specified limits by subtracting the total probability from one. Optimization
Process Composer calculates the probability of response values less than the lower limit after all simulations are complete. - Enter the Percentile of the response (a value between 0 and 1).
If you specify a percentile value for a response, Optimization
Process Composer reports the response value corresponding to that percentile of the resulting response distribution after all simulations are complete. -
Click Ok to save your changes
and to close the Monte Carlo Editor.
