Replaying an Animation

You can replay the simulation results, including the animation of a 3D logical model.

This task shows you how to:


Before you begin: Simulate and generate results.
Important: If you want to use the Variable Browser, you must open it when you simulate and generate results. You cannot open it when you have started the replay.

Replay Using Commands

You can use commands to replay the simulation results, including the animation of a 3D logical model.

  1. From the tree, select a result node and then click this command.

    Note: You must select a result node under the root result node.

    • The Simulation Options dialog box appears as a dialog box or minimized as an icon to the right in the tab.
    • An Experience Player toolbar appears with the controls.
    • The 3D animation begins - if not, see next step.
  2. From the tree, select a result node.

    Note: You must select a result node under the root result node.

  3. In the Simulation Options dialog box, specify your preferences for the animation.
  4. From the Experience Player toolbar, click Play Forward to start the animation.
  5. To end the replay and close the Experience Player, click Animate Result again.

Replay Using the Compass

You can use the Compass to replay the simulation results, including the animation of a 3D logical model.

  1. Select a result node in the tree.

    Note: You must select a result node under the root result node.

  2. Click Play in the Compass.

    The following appears:

    • The Simulation Options dialog box, as a dialog box or minimized as an icon to the right in the tab.
    • A Play section of the action bar that enables you to control the replay.
    • The 3D animation - if not, see next step.

  3. In the Simulation Options dialog box, specify your preferences for the animation.
  4. From the action bar section of the action bar, click Play to start the animation.
  5. To end the animation and close the Play section of the action bar, click Play again from the Compass.
