Exporting Scenarios and Results

You can export experiment data (specifications and results) from a simulation to an .xml file along with .csv and log (.txt) files.

Note: You can export different simulation results in a number of ways. For more information, see the link "About Exporting Simulation Results".

The XML file contains:

  • Information about the simulation object: name, discipline, version, maturity, owner, project, description
  • Information about the model: name, discipline, version, maturity, owner, project, description
  • Experiment specifications:
    • Scenarios; name and time range of experiment
    • Probes and excitations specifications.
Note: Measure probes and interference probes are not exported.
  • Experiment results:
    • Link to an external file with numerical results, in csv format
    • Link to an external file containing logs.

Before you begin:
  • Run the simulation and generate the results.
  • Generate the simulation output.
  1. Browse to select the convenient folder to store the exported files.
  2. Click OK.

The experiment data are exported to:

    • an XML file: contains information about the simulation and the model
    • a CSV file: contains numerical results
    • a .txt file: contains the simulation log.

The name of the exported files is the name of the simulation object.
