Changing the Abscissa

By default, the abscissa variable used in a plot is Time. You can change this default value from the Variable Browser or from the plot itself.

Change the Abscissa from the Variable Browser

You can change the abscissa variable from the Variable Browser.

From the Variable Browser, right-click the scalar variable you want to have as the abscissa variable in a plot, and select Set as abscissa variable > Plot (x) where (x) is the number of the plot you want to change the abscissa variable in.
The abscissa variable in the selected plot is changed to the selected variable.

Change the Abscissa from the Plot

You can change the abscissa variable from the plot.

  1. Right-click the plot, then select Edit > Change abscissa.
  2. In the Select curves dialog box, click the variable that you want to use as abscissa.

    Tip:

    If you use a Modelica complete result probe, you can click the variable directly from the Variable Browser. Only scalar variables can be selected.

    If you use a Watchlist probe, you can click the Watchlist node in the tree.

  3. Click OK.
    The abscissa variable is changed to the selected variable.
