Exporting the Curves of a Plot Chart to a File

You can export the curves of a plot chart, as values in a Comma Separated Values (.csv) file, with or without units in the header, for further processing in, for example, Microsoft Excel.

  1. In the chart area of the chart to export, right-click and select Tools > Export to File.
The Plot Result Export to File dialog box appears.
  2. In the Plot Result Export to File dialog box:
    1. Browse for the location to store the file.
    2. In the File name box, enter the name of the file.

Tip: From the list in the end of the File name box, you can select from the history of .csv file exports, including the paths.

    3. From the list in the Save as type box, select the format. The alternatives are:

      • To store as a .csv file using SI units without units in the headers, select Comma Separated Values file (*.csv). This is the default selection.
      • To store as a .csv file using SI units with units in the headers, select Comma Separated Values with Unit (*.csv).

    4. Click Save.
The plot is saved to a .csv file using SI Units with or without units in the headers of the file.
