Defining Port Parameters

You can define specific parameters for the ports when working in OPC UA mode.

Before you begin: Open an existing system experience.

  1. To initialize values for OPC UA, select a port and select Properties from the context toolbar.
  2. In the Port Parameters dialog box, enter the following:
    OptionDescription
    Expose port over OPC UA Exposes the selected port with its properties.

    The options of this table are taken into account only if this check box is selected.
    OPC UA namespace Corresponds to a namespace index.
    OPC UA nodeId type Corresponds to the type of the nodeId.
    Overwrite default OPC UA nodeId with Corresponds to a nodeId.

    This parameter is optional. If not specified, the nodeId is computed from the instance path and the variable name.
    Associated equipment number For the client, corresponds to the equipment number to associate with the selected port.
