Generating Drawings Using Structure Drafting Wizard

Generating a Logical View

You can generate a logical view by filtering out the objects that are not connected to the primary objects.

  1. Repeat the Steps 1 and 2 of the previous task.
  2. Under Objects to Draw,
    1. In the Primary object(s) box, select primary objects.

Recommendation: It is recommended to select panels as primary objects.

    2. Optional: Select the Use bounding box check box to use the bounding box.

The bounding box appears in the 3D area with center at the COG of primary objects, and includes all the primary objects. All the objects included or intersected with the bounding box are considered for the drawing generation.

You can modify the bounding box using the handles shown on each face in the 3D area, or specifying the width, length, and height values in the dialog box.

    3. Click Object relation list to display the Object Relations dialog box.

Note: Object relation list is available only when a GVS file and at least one primary object are specified.

    4. Click Compute object relation to compute the relation between objects.
A list appears, displaying all the primary objects along with their secondary objects and the non-primary/secondary objects. The non-primary/secondary objects are not considered for the drawing generation.
Note: You can double-click any relation, view type, and result type to change their values.

For relation, the changes will happen as below:
