About Positioned Structure Contour or Sketch with an Output Profile
This section informs you how the openings are modified if the input is a positioned sketch or positioned structure contour.
- The output profile could be positioned into the sketch by using constraints and imported 3D external geometries (intersection edges, projection edges).
- The sketch could be positioned from the axis of the representation.
- The representation is aggregated into an instance of the 3D part which is positioned regarding its reference.
- The 3D Part reference is aggregated into a assembly tree where each PLM product has a relative position from its direct parent.
With Sketch Mode
- The selection of the output profile is automatically updated in the Profile box.
- The imported output profile is used as it is to penetrate the panel or the profile.
- If the position of the instance or one of the product parent changes, the opening is updated when we synchronize the structure 3D part using the Import command.
- If the shape of the profile or the relative position of the sketch into the 3D part changes, the opening is updated when we synchronize the imported profile in the 3D part.
With Standard Opening Mode
- When using the Standard Opening with 3D Axis positioning type, in the Axis box, right-click and select Axis System On Selection. Then select the output profile. The 3D Axis is created and aggregated below the 3D part instance. The corresponding name is set in the Axis box.
- There is no links which are maintained between the created 3D Axis and the feature as input. The 3D axis is created as datum without any inputs.
With 3D Object Mode
This mode is not supported for the positioned structure contour or sketch with output profile.
